This is the 7th store we have opened this year and this will be our 28th store across the country! So yesterday LoveSac went green with UNLV. The students of UNLV wanted people to be aware of climate control and what it means to the world. Many local businesses were at the campus participating to bring everyone to be aware of this important topic.  If you don’t already know, but Lovesac uses recycled foam. ALL Durafoam is made from scraps of various densities of NEW/un-used foam taken from Furniture Sofa Makers…material that might otherwise end up in a landfill. This event was recognized by Congress Woman Dina Titus and Senator Harry Reid,  they awarded the UNLV students that help bring all of us together. This event also had great food and live music featuring a local favorite band Rhyme and Rhythm. What help bring all of this together was the LoveSac Lounge.

19 Bad Asses

Well ladies and gentlemen of Sac nation I am back from the East Coast and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! I have never been to the East Coast before and another thing most of us in the Love Sac family have really never met face to face, so I did not know what to expect. The East Coast is interesting compared to the West Coast because they try and preserve buildings for historic reasons and what not; here on the West Coast we just blow things up and rebuild them. Every manager was unique in their own way, we had some classy managers, crazy managers, and quiet managers.

ManagerFest was a lot of fun, but there was also a lot of work to do. We had 12 hour days of nothing, but power points and team building exercises. These power points covered every aspect of how to improve yourself and even though I am an old school SACr(4.5 years strong with LoveSac) I am the second youngest manager in the company at age 22, I took many notes. The best thing we learned about was all of the NEW COMFY STUFF coming out for the holidays. People you need to keep an eye out for these great new items we are adding and bringing back to the LoveSac family.

On our last night before we had to get back home Alex(the boss man) and Shawn decided it would be a great idea to break us up into random teams and send us on a crazy scavenger hunt around NYC and some how my team was mostly old school managers who have been with Sac Nation for 3 or more years. We may have been old school SACR’s but we had little NYC experience on our side with the exception of Alex’s wife who was our tour guide. Needles to say our team rocked and we ended up at our destination McSorley’s first! By the time the whole LoveSac Crew got there everyone knew who we were…LOVESAC!!!
